To My Husband
When we were young and newly married,
I thought this the meaning that True Love carried:
Presents of perfume, candy and flowers,
Lacey Valentines and dream castle towers.

But I have learned as our love matures
That there's more to lasting love like ours:
Caring for babies and sharing the flu,
Remembering to say that I love you.
For we've good years behind us, And we're looking ahead.
Not just taking love from marriage, But giving it instead.

Dear, it's nice to know, After all this time,
That you're still my special Valentine.

We're Pregnant... again!

Lucas, as a joke when we found out we were having twins, said we would eventually end up with fifteen kids. I wasn't fully amused at the time, though I have joked about it endlessly with him since. The twins aren't even two yet and already I find myself wondering if maybe, just maybe, he was right?

It was about two weeks ago that he started to notice signs of pregnancy. I hadn't noticed myself, too preoccupied chasing around the twins to think twice about it all. On Friday, the 13th (HA! FIGURES!) my doctor called with my test results confirming his notion. I, Gretchen Rembrandt, am here by pregnant with my third child!

So yes, yay, wooh! Happy snoopy dance and all that. To be honest I'm still a little flustered, I had not expected my first two years of marriage to consist of forever being barefoot and pregnant but I guess that's how my marriage will work. HAHA Lucas somehow turned me into a house wife and now will keep babies popping out to ensure I don't end up back at work again. I swear, this is an evil plot he came up with or something.

But truly, yes, we're excited. I haven't decided if I want another little boy or another little girl. We have a lot to learn and a lot to do before the new ones arrives in the beginning of October. Wow... that doesn't feel that far away actually. Doctor estimates October 9th. Of course since the twins were REALLY early, I'm prepared for the child to pop out more like end of August, early September. But we'll see. Hopefully this pregnancy will go a lot smoother then the last.

... I need dill pickles.
